Meet Our Loving Shepherds

About the Dutch Shepherd/Malinois

Despite their short coat, the Dutch Shepard tends to prefer cooler weather than some dogs with longer coats. However, they also do well living anywhere from dry-heat regions like Southern California to subtropical areas such as Florida, without any issues. They come in many colors like black or brown with tan points and have large ears, intelligent eyes, and an athletic build. They are usually medium-sized dogs, but their appearance varies greatly even within the same litter; there’s no doubt this mix will grow into its characteristics beautifully as long as it gets plenty of exercise each day. Their intelligence, loyalty, and affectionate nature are just three of many things that makes them a great pet and companion. Because of their loyalty, a well trained Malinois makes an excellent guard dog that doesn’t hesitate before jumping into action. Because of this they make excellent police dogs and are often used for search and rescue work. This means that his personality will not be as cuddly but he still remains loyal to those who know him best: his human family members.
